Some amazing advice from @dearmamaproject ✨ When visiting a new mumma, be mindful of what you say... sometimes off-handed comments & remarks, or unsolicited advice, can really hurt. •
•
For the mumma’s out there, what did someone say to you that really DID NOT help, and what would you have liked for them to say or do instead? I’ll share mine in the comments below! 34 weeks // I’m now getting to the pointy end of my pregnancy, and I’m trying to make sure I take time out each day to connect with baby, focus on my affirmations and get in the zone! Bubs could decide it’s time to arrive any week now, and I couldn’t be more excited! Fingers crossed this bubba isn’t as early as Stevie was because I still have a few weeks of work left & a heap of things on my to-do list. But hey, I’ll be trusting my body & my baby to know when the time is right ✨ BABYSHOWER // Today I had my babyshower (part 2)! After going into labour at my first babyshower and largely missing out on all the fun... I decided to do it all again to celebrate bubs number two, with all my nearest & dearest! Feeling very loved and blessed to have such an amazing tribe of women around me, as it truly does take a tribe to raise a baby ✨ Another amazing reason to avoid unnecessary intervention during your labour and birth!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for birthing in a hospital and having all of the available support if required, but women are often led blindly down the path of intervention during their labour, which can have negative consequences for their birth as well as their transition into motherhood!
The best way to reduce your chances of unnecessary intervention - educate yourself with knowledge about birth and hospital policies, & prepare for birth with a range of strategies and techniques to support you through labour (i.e do a HypnoBirthing Program 😘)! #hypnobirthing #positivebirth #empoweredbirth #hypnobirthinginternational #calmbirth #naturalchildbirth #childbirthpreparation My wild child ✨ She is equal parts calm & relaxed AND she has an independent, sassy side as well. I love watching her grow, and can’t wait to see her become a big sister! Already getting waves of extra mum guilt due to having lots of work on my plate, and having less energy to play with her... and let’s be honest, once bubs arrives the mum guilt will probably triple. BUT I know that I’m doing my best, and that we’re all going to be okay! I can’t wait for this next adventure to begin!

Photo: @hannahelizabethphotography__ Did you know anxiety during pregnancy is a thing? There is so much focus on PND, but not many people talk about the range of mental health challenges that can arise during pregnancy! It’s so important to tune into your mind & body on this incredible journey, and reach out for support if you find that you’re struggling! This will give you the best opportunity to thrive as you transition into motherhood ✨
