Catherine Rashleigh

Catherine is a mother of 3 beautiful children and an experienced psychologist of 14 years.

Working with both parents and young people, Catherine has expertise working across a wide range of emotional concerns including anxiety and stress, grief and loss, family and relationship issues and a range of mental health difficulties. With a deep interest in mindfulness and positive psychology, Catherine hopes to empower women to uncover and develop their inherent strengths, find their own wisdom and support them to find their own unique and confident path as a mother.

For Catherine, her incredibly positive experience of HypnoBirthing and meditation practice, solidified a deep knowing of the healing and theraputic potential of mindfulness based practices.  Catherine now uses a blend of evidence based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT),  Mindfulness based counselling techniques and compassion based therapy approaches woven to support the unique needs of her clients. Above all, however,  Catherine brings authentic caring and compassion to her counselling, which she believes is at the heart of helping and healing.

With a real understanding of this naturally challenging time, Catherine brings her warmth and wealth of experience supporting parents. Helping to support mothers to work with their own histories, parent with calm and attunement,  build awareness and insight and grow in confidence and self-compassion;  building tools for healthy coping and flourishing in motherhood.

Along with mothers and perinatal clients, Catherine is available to see a limited number of children (7 + years old) and adolescent clients at The Mindful Birth Movement.
