Birth of Us

Becoming a parent is one of the biggest transitions in life — yet so many feel unprepared for the realities that come with it.

“Birth Of Us” is not your typical antenatal program. This evidence-based, 5-session group program is designed to prepare you and your partner for your journey into parenthood — emotionally, mentally, and practically.

Developed by Jane Brincat, an experienced mental health occupational therapist, each session has been carefully and thoughtfully designed with insights from new parents about what they wish they’d learnt before baby arrived.

Our focus is on the whole family’s well-being, and dives so much deeper than the basics, while equiping you and your partner with practical tools, emotional resilience, and a strong support network.

What you'll learn:

Sessions 1-4 are for both parents to attend.

Your Facilitator - Jane Brincat

Jane Brincat, Perinatal Mental Health Occupational Therapist at The Mindful Birth Movement

Jane Brincat is a senior occupational therapist and mother of two little people named Jemima and Romy.

Prior to becoming a mother Jane worked in the public mental health system with adolescents and youth. In this setting, Jane learnt the importance of the foundations of which a family is built.

As she embarked on her journey of becoming a mother, Jane was completely blindsided by the emotional, physiological, sociological and functional changes she experienced. From then on, Jane has furthered her professional experience in order to support mothers in their matrescence journey.

Jane strongly believes that by supporting women and families in this incredibly precious and vulnerable time of life, that the health and wellbeing of their family will be improved for generations to come.
