About Erika

I am a mother and grandmother. Coming from a family of home builders, I designed and owner-built my eco-home from strawbales and reclaimed timbers. Over the years, I have learned to embrace uncertainty and adapt with flexibility—lessons I bring into my work with you. I see you as a whole person, beyond labels, diagnoses, or the history that has shaped you. You are wonderfully unique, with strengths and resources waiting to be discovered. I am honored to support you on your journey.

HypnoBirthing with Erika

Erika brings a truly unique depth of experience to our HypnoBirthing program, combining more than 20 years of experience as a birth doula with her work as a couples therapist.

Having supported women and their partners through pregnancy, labour, birth and the transition into parenthood for two decades, Erika brings a wealth of practical knowledge, calm reassurance and genuine understanding of what birth can look and feel like in the real world.

Her background in couples therapy also allows her to bring an important focus to the role of the birth partner — helping couples feel connected, confident and equipped to work together as a team throughout labour and birth.

Erika is passionate about helping parents approach birth feeling informed, empowered and supported, while understanding that birth does not always unfold exactly as planned. Her warm, grounded teaching style creates space for couples to ask questions, build practical skills and develop confidence in themselves, each other and the birth process.

Learning HypnoBirthing with Erika is about so much more than preparing for labour. It is an opportunity to prepare for birth together, strengthen your partnership and enter this next chapter feeling calm, connected and ready to meet whatever comes. Learn more about HypnoBirthing here.
