Catherine is a mother of 3 beautiful children and an experienced psychologist of 14 years.
Working with both parents and young people, Catherine has expertise working across a wide range of emotional concerns including anxiety and stress, grief and loss, family, relationship and parenting issues and a range of mental health difficulties. With a particular interest in the psychology of parenting and mindfulness-based practices, Catherine hopes to empower women to uncover and develop their inherent strengths and to support them to find their own unique and confident path as a mother.
Catherine uses a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and compassion-based therapy approaches women to support the unique needs of her clients. Above all, Catherine brings authentic caring and compassion to her counselling, for a truly supportive therapeutic relationship which she believes is at the heart of helping.
With a real understanding of this naturally challenging time, Catherine brings her warmth and wealth of experience supporting parents. Helping to support mothers to work with their own histories, parent with calm and attunement, build awareness and insight and grow in confidence and self-compassion; building tools for healthy coping and flourishing in motherhood.
Along with mothers and perinatal clients, Catherine is also available to see a limited number of children (7 + years old) and adolescent clients at The Mindful Birth Movement.
Catherine holds the following qualifications:
– Master of Psychology
– Registered Psychologist with AHPRA
– A member of the Australian Psychological Society
session FEES
The cost of a 50 minute consultation with Catherine is $220, which is payable at the end of the session.
If referred by your Doctor on a Mental Health Care Plan you will be refunded $93.35 by Medicare.
Alternatively, you may be able to make a claim for psychological services through your private health insurance.

Note: you are unable to utilise private health insurance if you receive a Medicare rebate on a session.
Sessions are conducted in-person at The Mindful Birth Movement in Heathmont, Victoria or via Telehealth.
